Annual barbacoa and pulque festival in September beginning the third Wednesday of the month and lasting through Sunday. The Plaza de Barbacoa contains 20 hornos under its roof with more outside. Many of the homes throughout Boye also have hornos and serve barbacoa during the festival and every Sunday. Thousands of people attend the festival each day and its one of the premiere barbacoa events in Mexico.
Smaller patron saint festivities in honor of San Antonio de Padua are held in the month of June the 13th and can last from 3 to 5 days, which includes barbacoa.
